Calculations stay on your device

Probability, percentile, mean, standard deviation, raw values, z-scores, bounds, and calculated results are processed in the browser. They are not placed in URLs, browser storage, analytics events, or an application database.

Choosing Copy result writes the current answer and its inputs to your device’s clipboard so you can paste them elsewhere. The site does not read your clipboard. If clipboard access is unavailable, it shows selectable text for you to copy manually.

Limited Google Analytics measurement

When Google Analytics is enabled, the site may send standard page-view information such as the page URL, referrer, browser or device characteristics, and approximate geography. Google Analytics may use first-party cookies for measurement. Enhanced Measurement is disabled for this data stream.

The calculator can send only these custom event names:

• calculator_interaction_started
• inverse_normal_calculated
• normal_probability_calculated
• calculator_validation_error
• inverse_example_loaded
• inverse_result_copied

Their custom properties are limited to page, mode, input-basis or input-format choices, whether a custom mean and standard deviation were used, a finite validation error code, and a fixed example ID. Example IDs can only be left-975, right-5, central-95, orcustom-scale: labels for the four built-in presets, never user-entered values or identifiers. Loading an example sends a load event; a calculation event is sent only after a successful calculation. A copy event contains only mode and input-format choices and is sent only after clipboard writing succeeds for the still-current result. Manual copying and failed clipboard writes send no copy event. These events do not include entered numbers, calculated answers, copied text, error messages, URLs, or user identifiers.

Your choices and the analytics provider

Browser privacy controls, content blockers, or disabled cookies may limit analytics collection without affecting calculator results. Google processes analytics data under its own terms and privacy policy.
